Ontario Fish and Wildlife: spring wild turkey season starts this month

Never stalk a wild turkey, and if you see another hunter, shout to let them know where you are.

That’s safety advice from Ontario Fish and Wildlife for hunters to keep in mind as they prepare for wild turkey season.

You can purchase up to two turkey tags for the spring season. Tags cost $26.33 each, and you’ll also need your small game license and Outdoors Card.

Hunting is restricted to shotguns and bows, and you can only hunt from 30 minutes before sunrise until 7:00 PM each day. You’re also not allowed to take two turkeys on the same day.

Spring turkey season starts on April 25th, and will last until the end of May. You can view the full regulations for hunting them on the Ontario government’s website.
