Kemptville Live Music Festival 2018 celebrated a banner year. Organizer Karen Bedard gave a deputation to council last night.
She says surveys were sent to everyone who bought tickets online and 33 per cent responded. About 50 per cent of festival goers travelled from 40 kilometers away, which is up from last year.
In 2017, 42 per cent of respondents had never been to Kemptville before. That number shrunk this year to 32 per cent. A total of 82 per cent say they will visit Kemptville again, up from 81 per cent in 2017.
Bedard says people came from all across Canada and the United States, including Maine, Virginia, Texas and Ohio. She says Kemptville even a visitor from Malta, who was in Toronto visiting a friend at the time of the festival.
