The Municipality of North Grenville will not be replacing the dock at Curry Park until at least 2019. The dock, which was damaged beyond repair last summer, was cut from the 2018 budget. Director of Parks and Recreation Mark Guy says the dock was a target.
The final nail in the coffin for the dock was being rammed by boats, rendering it unsafe to stand on. The cost to replace the dock is about $12,000. Guy says the dock fell below the line.
Replacing the dock will be considered during the 2019 budget deliberations. People are still able to use the boat launch at Curry Park.
