Thirteen young women from Leeds and Grenville had the chance to experience Queen’s Park on budget day.
Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark held his third annual Girls Government program in conjunction with Girls Inc. of Upper Canada. Participants had a chance to hold sessions with Clark over the past few months to prepare. They made the trip to Toronto last Thursday.
Clark said they took in the introduction of the budget, question period, and met some political leaders from all parties.
Clark says it’s an event he strongly believes in.
Clark hopes to host the event for a fourth time. He says the event may be held at a different time next year because of the upcoming election.
