Green Leaf Challenge looks to encourage more tree planting in Ontario

Forest Ontario hopes to encourage more tree planting during 150th celebration of Ontario and Canada.

The organization has launched the Green Leaf Challenge.

Forest Ontario Field Advisor for Eastern Ontario Wade Knight says the idea is to see three million trees planted across Ontario this year.

Knight says it’s especially important to focus on native species.

Once you’ve planted some trees, you can add them to a tree counter at www.greenleafchallenge.ca.
