The YMCA in Brockville is getting some upgrades courtesy the Ontario150 Community Capital Program.
MPP Steve Clark was on hand on Friday to congratulate officials on receiving $53,800 in funding through a grant. It will be used to improve the infrastructure of the aquatic facility, which includes buying a new high efficiency boiler, a hot water on demand system, and new starting blocks for the pool.
YMCA of Brockville and area CEO Diana Deakin-Thomas says they’re grateful that community donors also stepped up to provide matching funds for the grant. Those donors included Northern Cables, the Upper Canada Swim Club, 100 Women who Care and other individual donors.
