KDH Auxiliary raises over $207,000 for hospital

Kemptville district Hospital is getting a funding boost to the tune of $207,886.

It’s coming from the KDH Auxiliary and the funds represent the proceeds from the auxiliary’s fundraising efforts in 2025 and 2026, including Hey Day and other events, along with proceeds from the Gift Shop & Coffee Bar onsite at KDH.

The KDH Auxiliary was founded in 1959 during the planning phase for the hospital, which opened its doors the following year in June of 1960.

It’s run entirely by volunteers who also organize fundraising events, provide bursaries for high school students, and make palliative care gowns and comfort dolls for patients.
