You’re being reminded that fire safety doesn’t take a vacation.
North Grenville Fire Service is urging you to stay fire-safe whether you’re staying at a cottage, cabin, campground, RV, travel trailer, hotel, or motel.
Tips to follow include making sure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are present and working.
Check propane connections on BBQs and appliances before use, never leave cooking unattended and keep campfires small, supervised, and fully extinguished before bed.
Officials say it’s also important to know your location address, lot number, campsite number, or room number in case of emergency.
