Your help is wanted in setting out the future for the Cardinal Canal.
With vegetation management work underway, applications are being accepted for community volunteers to serve on the Canal Beautification Ad Hoc Steering Committee.
Officials say the committee was created to support planning and guiding improvements along the canal in Cardinal following the 2026 clean-up project.
It will provide advice and recommendations to Edwardsburgh Cardinal Council and staff regarding long-term beautification, public amenities, and ongoing maintenance strategies.
If you’d like to be considered for joining, you’re asked to send the township a letter by mail or email by Sept. 10.
