Work is scheduled next week along the canal embankment in Cardinal.
Officials say crews will be removing overgrown brush, vines and select vegetation from the embankment to the water’s edge.
They add that the work will improve access for future maintenance and support shoreline improvements.
It’s scheduled to last from Monday to Friday.
