WDMH introduces new strategic plan

Winchester District Memorial Hospital CEO Cholly Boland says the hospital’s new strategic plan is about staying true to who they are.

Hospital officials say the plan is a roadmap that outlines their priorities and goals over a period of up to five years and helps guide decisions and ensure everyone is working toward a shared vision.

Boland says they developed it by talking to hundreds of people in the community, in other organizations and within the hospital and he adds it’s divided into four sections including services and its people.

While the plan lays out the road ahead, Boland tells Moose FM that it’s also frequently updated to keep pace with the current atmosphere.

“Every single year we examine what’s going on in the environment, with the government, with finances, with quality and what our patients are saying. We do review it on an annual basis.”

Boland adds that the hospital’s commitment remains the same in caring for patients with compassion, close to home, and alongside their partners.
