Dog owners will soon have a new place to visit in Merrickville.
The village’s fair grounds have officially been approved as the community’s dog park.
Organizers say the fair grounds offer a central, accessible space that will welcome not only resident’s dogs but also those of tourists who are visiting.
They add that the dog park adds another reason for visitors to stop, stay longer and enjoy everything the village has to offer.
Organizers add that they are now moving into the exciting phase of planning, building and shaping the space together.
