Drivers are being reminded to always keep their eyes on the road and watch for school buses.
East Region OPP say they respond almost daily to collisions in which someone has run into a bus.
They add that, thankfully, there are rarely any serious injuries.
Police say that school buses carry the most valuable cargo, our kids.
Drivers must always stop when the red lights and stop arm on a school bus are activated.
Violations for not stopping carry heavy fines of between $400 to $2,000 as well as six demerit points, and potential jail time.
