103rd annual Grenville Plowing Match planned for end of September

The 103rd annual Grenville Plowing Match is coming up at the end of the month.

Organizers say it’s a cherished tradition that celebrates agricultural heritage and community spirit and this year’s event will feature an impressive lineup of plowing classes, including junior competitions, vintage categories, and traditional horse-drawn plowing.

It’s being held on Sept. 26 and Sept. 27 at Boulder Dust Farms in Kemptville.

Plowing enthusiasts of all ages are being encouraged to come out and watch the skill and dedication of participants as they showcase their craft in this time-honored competition.

The event, organizers say, promises a wonderful day of family-friendly activities and a chance to connect with the rich farming history of the region.
