North Grenville part of important discussions at AMO

North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says the recent Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference was a chance to have a real conversation with people who are in a position to influence important decisions.

Peckford, along with council members and senior staff, was in attendance at the event in Ottawa this week.

They held a number of different meetings with provincial officials including Minister of Sport Neil Lumsden and Solicitor General Michael Kerzner on proposals and ongoing projects and work in the municipality.

Peckford tells Moose FM that the human interaction is invaluable.

“It’s so important to putting a face on why we as a community would benefit from these investments and how much of a difference they would make.”

Peckford adds she feels like they achieved their objectives at the conference and she’s looking forward to the future announcements that will come out of it.
