North Grenville well represented at AMO Conference in Ottawa

North Grenville officials say they are making sure their voice is heard and that our community is set to grow and thrive.

With support from Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark, officials say council and members of the senior leadership team came out strong at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario’s Conference in Ottawa this week.

They say they had meetings with provincial officials including Minister of Sport Neil Lumsden where they championed a year-round indoor sports dome located at Kemptville Campus which would feature turf fields, hard courts, and a walking track.

Another meeting was with Solicitor General Michael Kerzner where they advocated for multi-year funding for the mobile crisis response team.

The conference wrapped up on Wednesday.
