Here’s what’s happening in Kemptville:
There’s a lane closure in Kemptville to be aware of next week.
The eastbound lane of County Road 43 between Creekside Plaza and Kemptville Retirement Living will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 21 to May 24.
It will then be closed again from May 27 to May 29.
Flag persons will be in the area directing traffic and businesses will remain open.

There’s a new seasonal water fill station at the North Grenville Public Library.
The library says it’s perfect for the community as they commit to sustainability, convenience, and reducing plastic water bottles.
It’s also ideal for those attending outdoor events, or just passing by during a walk.
You can bring your water bottle and fill it up for free.

Volunteers are being sought to help out on Canada Day in Riverside Park in Kemptville.
Organizers say you can support your community while meeting new people and enjoying the celebrations.
Students can also collect their community service hours.

There’s a public meeting coming up in the Village of Merrickville-Wolford.
It’s scheduled for Wednesday at the Municipal Council Chambers and the agenda includes proposed changes to building department fees.
It starts at 5 p.m. and can also be watched online.
