Heat for the Holidays is fundraising again this year.
Winchester BMR is once again teaming up with House of Lazarus and Community Food Share to deliver fire-logs to families in need this holiday season. Ken Boje, owner of Winchester BMR says that they have two trailers of Eco-Logs ready to go this year, and will do the bulk of the delivery a week before Christmas. He says they can deliver logs as late as March or April if a family finds themselves in need. He says community groups have already donated through the organizations and has seen a boost from community groups.
Boje says that like other charities, need has grown this year. He says last year they distributed logs to 43 families, but this year expects over 50 families to be in need. He says that the logs are distributed during Christmas to help take some of the stress he says can come to the holidays.
