St. Michael Catholic High School celebrates commencement

The grade 12 students at St. Michael Catholic High School are moving on. The graduation ceremony was held today. Nearly 100 students left with a secondary school diploma in hand and 49 graduated as Ontario Scholars, with over 80% in their top six grade 12 courses.

Vice Principal Laura Mackler says it has been a privilege to watch the students grow spiritually, socially and academically. She noted the students at St. Mike’s are exceptional in many ways, as they have demonstrated over the past several years.

Principal Tracy O’Brien says the graduates have made a difference in the lives of many, through their social justice initiatives, helping others in the school and community, respecting differences, travelling for mission trips and doing random acts of kindness.

A total of 64 bursaries and awards were presented.
