Live music, glow party, fireworks and more planned for Canada Day

North Grenville will celebrate Canada Day in style. Events run all day on July 1 at Riverside Park. The Kemptville District Community Association (KDCA), in partnership with the Municipality of North Grenville, organized the festivities.

Canada Day kicks off with a community breakfast at the Royal Canadian Legion, starting at 8:00am. The Reptile Rainforest Roadshow, That Hunting Store’s Archery Booth and a water gun battle are set for 11:00am. A free public swim is happening at the Kemptville Pool at 12:30pm, followed by a free family swim at 1:45pm.

KDCA President Wendy Embleton says there are some amazing bands lined up and the stage will be active from 11:00am to 10:00pm, when the fireworks start.

The Rotary Club’s 2019 Canada Day parade is set for 4:00pm. There will be a glow party at the Pte. Blake Williamson Memorial Hall, starting at 7:00pm.

Embleton says it’s going to be a beautiful day and organizers are hoping to see the park full of people.

The Oxford Mills Community Association is also hosting Canada Day events at Maplewood Park. Live music, games and more run from 11:45am to 4:00pm.
