Christmas programs at the House of Lazarus (HOL) will get a boost from a colouring night event. It is being held at Jonsson’s Independent Community Room on Wednesday. The event starts at 6:30pm. The cost is $20 and proceeds will go to the HOL.
Organizer Leslie Snowdon says four years ago her husband was laid off for a period of eight months and she wasn’t sure her family would have a Christmas. She says the HOL adoption program was a big help.
There are still spots open for the event. Colouring books and all materials are provided. The event will also include Epicure taste testing.
Snowdon says you don’t know who is going through hard times and the HOL is a really safe for people who are struggling financially.
