The Kemptville Lions Club is more precious than the diamond anniversary it’s celebrating. For 60 years, the club has contributed countless hours and dollars to important community organizations. To date, the club has given over $30,000 to CHEO alone. A celebration dinner is being held this Saturday to mark the impressive milestone. The club’s president Alan Forbes says presentations will take place throughout the evening.
The Kemptville branch of the Lions Club was sponsored by the Merrickville Lions Club back in March 1958. The Lions will present $1,000 to CHEO during the dinner. Over 140 are expected to attend. Forbes says many dignitaries are coming to the event.
