North Grenville Rural Summit Aiming to Increase Local Agriculture

North Grenville Rural Summit Representative Deron Johnston says starting your own business may be easier than you think, if you’re willing to get your hands dirty.

According to Johnston the area is ripe with potential for agriculture and it’s often simple to get started. He adds that the summit is intended to help people do that while giving tools and information on how to take your business to the next level.

The keynote speech from Moe Garahan of Just Food will be excellent according to Johnston but he thinks the lunch alone is worth the price of admission. The full course meal has been sourced from within 100 kilometres of North Grenville, driving home the point of local agriculture. Johnston also promises workshops on topics ranging from bees and honey to financing for agriculture.

Johnston finished by saying, this isn’t just for people in agriculture already and would be a good event for the “agri-curious”. The summit is tomorrow and full details can be found here.
