Applications for the Leeds-Grenville SPCA Summer Camps Are Being Accepted

The Leeds-Grenville SPCA is currently accepting applications for the children’s summer camps.

The Future Vet Programs are perfect for children interested in a career with animals according to the SPCA. There are two programs divided up based on age and they run for five weeks starting on April 28th from 10:30am to noon, excluding May 19th. The SPCA says they help teach children more about animals through interactive lessons and hands-on animal experience.

Future Vet One is for children from 7-9 and includes a shelter tour, Canine Day, Feline Day, and Reptilia. Future Vet Two is for ages 10-12 and features Horses, Dog Breeds, Health Exams and Grooming. Both camps cost $150 and the curriculum is age appropriate so parents are asked to adhere to the age groups.

The SPCA stresses that additional child care will not be provided and for more information you can contact Katie Lewis at 905-898-7122 extension 391. Full details, including a flyer can be found here.
