Algonquin college plans to extend semester

Algonquin College has announced schedule changes.

To compensate time lost during the on-going post-secondary faculty strike the college’s Senior Vice President of Academic Claude Brule says they will be extending the fall semester until December the 22nd. Classes will start again on January 2nd and students with a class on Saturday December 23rd will be notified.

Brule adds that final exam week, from December 9th to the 16th, will now be used for classes. The due date for winter-semester fees is also being extended. Deposits were originally due today, but now the college will be accepting payments until December 8th.
