Reports of a bear in the Ferguson Forest Centre has prompted a message from Director of Emergency and Protective Services John Okum.
Okum told the public at Monday night’s North Grenville Committee of the Whole meeting that there may have been a bear sighting on the trails of the forest centre.
Okum says staff has looked into the issue and researched with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Okum says to stay away from the bear.
