The North Grenville trails event for local students was a big success according to organizers.
The “Hit the Trail Challenge” was held last week, organized by the North Grenville Active Transportation Advisory Committee, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit and Grenville County OPP.
North Grenville Active Transportation Advisory Committee Member Barb Tobin told Juice FM prior to the event that the hope was to bring more attention to the trails in North Grenville. Tobin said students would see them and hopefully tell family and friends about the experience.
Participants came from Oxford-on-Rideau, Holy Cross, Kemptville Public, St. Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Ecole Riviere Rideau schools.
