Local students to hit North Grenville Trails for event

Some local students will be learning more about our trail system.

The Active Transportation Advisory Committee, the Municipality of North Grenville and the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit are partnering to increase interest in the system.

A number of students from local schools have been chosen to participate in an event on Thursday, May 4th.

Younger students will be on the “Rail Trail”. That trail will include a scavenger hunt. Some older students will participate on the Settlers Trail between Settler’s Grant and the Ferguson Forest Centre.

Active Transportation Advisory Committee Chair Barb Tobin says the plan is to bring more awareness about the trail system in North Grenville.

Students from North Grenville District high School and St. Michael Catholic High School will also volunteer during the event.
