Local students visit Prescott OPP detachment

Grenville County OPP welcomed some very special guests to the Prescott Detachment this week. On Tuesday, thirty-five grade one and two students from Maynard Public School toured the police station. Students got to try on police uniforms, sit in a cruiser and experience what it’s like to be behind bars. The children gained an inside look into the duties of police officers and the tools they use in their daily duties.

With the end of the school year, there will be more children out on bikes and in neighbourhood parks. Grenville County OPP are reminding motorists and parents to take extra care so that all of our children have a safe summer.
