It’s going to cost a bit more to rent ice time or a soccer field in North Grenville by the fall. Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture Mark Guy reported a scheduled increase of 5% over the next 2 years for soccer fields and 2% for ice rentals. There will be reduced rates available for some school-aged programming at the rinks. The increase is necessary to help operating expenses for the increasingly popular facilities. Baseball diamond rental will shift to an hourly rate for ease of billing and scheduling. The cost of renting hall space in the municipal centre is also scheduled to rise, by 2%. The increase comes into effect September 1st, 2014.
