Two private organizations interested in operating Kemptville College toured campus yesterday. Kemptville College Renewal Task Force Chair Brian Carre updated the Committee of the Whole last night, saying there are opportunities for international affiliation, research and education with these two groups. The Task Force has also been notified that more applications are forthcoming, before the May 28th deadline. The Request for Expressions of Interest has been placed on MERX, Canada’s electronic tendering service, and the Task Force continues to meet every week to discuss developments. A high-level preliminary discussion has been planned with U of G Dean Gordon, the college property owner ARIO and lawyer Donald Goode, a college grad, to discuss the transition process. By the application deadline, Carre says the Task Force will have a better understanding of marketplace interest in Kemptville College.
