The Kemptville 73’s are heading into the last six games of the regular season with momentum.
Kemptville defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks 5-1 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Friday night to pick up their 31st win of the season.
Lucas Achim, Zachary Venance, Gavin McDougall, Julien Davis and JZ Mbarushimana all scored while Rylan Donovan stopped 22 shots in net for the win.
It keeps the 73’s in fourth place in the standings in the Central Canada Hockey League with a 49GP-31W-15L-2 Overtime Losses-1 Shootout Loss-65 Points record.
It’s a busy week on the ice for the 73’s starting on Wednesday when they face the Brockville Braves at home.
Opening faceoff is set for 4:30 p.m. and it’s free for fans to attend.
Kemptville is then home to Rockland on Friday night before traveling to Pembroke on Sunday evening.
