73’s Wrap: Kemptville looking to get back on the right foot after losing three in a row

The Kemptville 73’s are looking to get back on the right foot as a busy stretch of games continues.

On Friday, Kemptville made some news off the ice by naming returning 19-year-old forward Gavin McDougall team captain.

McDougall had been out with a separated shoulder suffered in the first game of the playoffs last March before rejoining the lineup on Friday night in Brockville.

He’s played over 150 games in the Central Canada Hockey League, all with the 73’s, and is from North Grenville.

On the ice, the 73’s fell 2-1 in Brockville on Friday night before losing by the same margin in Ottawa on Saturday evening.

Kemptville is currently fifth in the CCHL with a record of 23GP-11W-11L-1 Overtime Loss for 23 points.

The 73’s next game is Wednesday night in Nepean before then playing in Smiths Falls on Friday evening and in Pembroke on Sunday.
