Construction and program development are underway now that the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville says all of its early learning and child care spaces allocated by the province have been approved.
The 637 spaces are being funded by the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario, under the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement, which supports the
creation of affordable, high-quality licensed child care.
In Kemptville, Madison Montessori Academy will expand its existing program to add 99 new toddler, preschool, and kindergarten spaces. In addition, Centre éducatif Cœur des Jeunes
recently added 13 Francophone toddler and preschool spaces at the Kemptville Campus, with an additional 10 infant spaces scheduled to open at the site in early 2026.
It’s expected all will be operational by Dec. 31, 2026.
