(UPDATE – RESOLVED) Kemptville District Hospital staff warn of increased Emergency Department wait times

UPDATE Friday, March 15th, 9:40 AM: Kemptville District Hospital Communications Officer Jenny Read tells MyKemptvilleNow.com that the situation has now been resolved.

If you need treatment for something minor, Kemptville District Hospital staff are asking you to consider avoiding their Emergency Department.

The team running the facility has put out an advisory on social media warning of long wait times in the department, caused by high patient volumes.

“We are also feeling these impacts throughout the hospital as some of these patients need to be admitted,” the announcement reads.

If you need the emergency room, staff say you shouldn’t hesitate to go there.

However, people dealing with minor ailments are encouraged to visit a walk-in clinic or book an appointment with their primary care provider instead.

We’ve reached out to the hospital and will provide updates as they become available.
