You’ve only got a few weeks left to renew your license to own your dogs for 2024 before the price goes up.
Per North Grenville bylaws, you need a license to own any dog more than six months old, unless it’s a police dog or a guide dog. The license expires on December 31st every year.
The license and registration, along with the dog tag that comes along with it, helps animal control services bring your dog back to you if it runs away. If you get caught with an unlicensed dog, you could face a $100 fine.
You can register your dogs and buy licenses for them for $15 each until March 31st. After that, the price doubles to $30 per dog for the rest of the year.
