John Okum says he’d love to match or exceed last year’s Chief Fire Officers Association of Leeds and Grenville Food Drive numbers this month.
The organization is hosting another food drive this year, with all the donations being divided across the region.
“The North Grenville Fire Service is accepting both non-perishable food and monetary donations here at the North Grenville Fire Station located on County Road 44,” Fire Chief Okum says. “Food and monetary donations can be dropped off during normal administrative hours, which is Monday to Friday, 8:30 [AM] to 4:30 [PM].”
Last year’s Food Drive brought in roughly 4,000 pounds of food and $8,500 across the region.
Okum says donations will be collected all month long.
