The average North Grenville household could be paying just over $200 more in property taxes this year compared to 2023.
The final 2024 draft budget has been unveiled by the Municipality of North Grenville, featuring a 3.96 percent increase to the municipal tax rate.
That’s a slight increase from the 3.5 percent increase proposed in the first draft budget a few months ago.
After adding increases at the United Counties level, staff members say that would lead to the average household paying $201 more than last year.
The total operating budget would come out to just shy of $28-million, with spending increases in insurance payments, contracted professional services, and staff salaries.
Council votes on whether to approve the budget Tuesday night.
