The Municipality of North Grenville is offering residents a chance to wish the new King well.
Mayor Nancy Peckford says there’s a “book of congratulations” residents can sign that will be sent to Buckingham Palace for King Charles III in a few weeks.
Peckford and the rest of council are also personally congratulating Charles, who ascended the throne in September when his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed away.
“For over fifty years, His Majesty King Charles III has had a close connection to Canada,” Peckford says. “We have no doubt that his dedication to service will provide a strong foundation from which he will continue to work toward the betterment of the Commonwealth and its people.”
