$9.29-million in provincial infrastructure funding coming to Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes

A $400-million investment from Ontario’s Community Infrastructure Fund is bringing some money for improvements to the Leeds-Grenville area.

MPP Steve Clark has announced that $9.29-million from that investment will be going towards his riding, including nearly $770,000 for the Municipality of North Grenville.

“I am encouraged to see our government once more demonstrate its support for rural areas,” Clark says, “and recognize the importance of renewing and expanding the infrastructure that undergirds Ontario’s economic success.”

According to a social media post from Mayor Nancy Peckford, the money will be going towards safety improvements at intersections, including a new multi-use pathway at the corner of Colonnade Drive and County Road 19.
