The Municipality of North Grenville has created a new way for you to shop locally while saving money.
“Now you can purchase North Grenville gift cards, just like a prepaid visa, and give the gift of buying local,” says Mayor Nancy Peckford. “This is an easy and seamless way to support our fabulous local businesses.”
The gift cards only work at participating businesses in our community. Discounts are also available, meaning you can get a $50 card by spending $45, or a $25 card by spending $22.50.
The system was created through a partnership between the municipality, the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce, and the Old Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area (BIA).
Meagan Cumming, the chair of the BIA’s Board of Management, says she’s particularly happy with how simple the gift card system is.
“We are thrilled with how easy it is for merchants and customers alike to use these cards, and look forward to seeing how it will revolutionize the shopping experience in our Downtown,” she says.
The gift cards are available for purchase at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You can find a list of businesses that accept the cards on the Municipality of North Grenville website.
