$50,000+ coming to Leeds-Grenville seniors communities

Kemptville’s Beth Donovan Hospice is receiving some funding from the Ontario government.

The money comes from the province’s Seniors Community Grant program. The program helps fund health, safety and security improvements at retirement homes and similar communities.

$51,264 from the program is being distributed throughout the Leeds-Grenville region. Other recipients include Prescott’s Walker House Adult Centre and other projects in the townships of Gananoque and Leeds and the Thousand Islands.

Steve Clark, our region’s MPP, is happy to see this money coming into our community. “These local projects might seem small but they have a very significant impact for seniors and for the community,” he says. “They offer meaningful opportunities for older adults to safely take part in local life and keep connected to friends, family and the community.”
