Kemptville and District Sports Hall of Fame postpones 2021 Induction Ceremony

North Grenville athletes hoping for recognition from the community will have to wait another year.

The Kemptville and District Sports Hall of Fame Committee announced yesterday that its 2021 Induction Ceremony has been postponed. The ceremony was originally scheduled for September 23rd. According to the Committee, the postponement is due to COVID-19 regulations surrounding public events.

“We look forward to some sense of normalcy in the Fall of 2022,” says Committee member Deb Wilson, “when we can recognize this year’s Inductees and finally put them into their proper place in The Kemptville and District Sports Hall of Fame.”

The Kemptville and District Sports Hall of Fame was established to honor the achievements of local athletes and sports teams. It began inducting people in 2010. The last Induction Ceremony was in 2019. Check the Hall of Fame’s website for more details.
