BIA plans ghoulish fun for community

Creepy things are happening in Kemptville. The BIA is hosting two Halloween themed events this weekend.

The Murder & Mayhem Fundraising Walk kicks off the goulish fun tomorrow night. It starts at 7:00pm at Salamanders and wraps up around 9:00pm at the South Branch Bistro. The event is by donation, in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank.

BIA Executive Director Deron Johnston says the walk will highlight certain areas of downtown where some mysterious events took place in the past, including murders and the story of the wild man.

Kreepy Kemptville follows on Saturday, from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Organizer Omshanti Charlebois says the event is very similar to past years, with trick or treating and fun activities for kids. She noted many downtown businesses are participating and maps can be found at To Be Continued Consignment, the North Grenville Public Library and Exit Realty By Design.

People are welcome to dress up for both events.
