The North Grenville Public Library is celebrating Ontario Public Library Week. A card drive runs from October 20 to 26. People can drop by to update their existing library card or register for a new one to be entered into a draw. The grand prize is the Game of Thrones series on DVD.

Liz Dwyer, Coordinator of Community Engagement, says it’s a very simple process that doesn’t take much time. She noted people just need to bring a piece of ID with their current address and they’re good to go.

Dwyer says the goal is to grow membership. The library offers a myriad of things for free, including books, movies, geocaching kits, museum passes and fishing equipment.

She noted the theme of the card drive is ‘Winter is Coming’ because it’s nearly time for people to hunker down with puzzles, books and movies.
