Victim Services Leeds & Grenville (VSLG) was gifted office space in Kemptville. The temporary arrangement is thanks to Shulamit Ber Levtov, who runs Compassionate Support for Stressful Times. VSLG staff will be on site, at 2505 County Road 43, every Friday. People can set up an appointment by calling 1-800-939-7682.
Executive Director Sonya Jodoin says the long-term goal is to have a permanent presence in Kemptville. She noted there’s challenges with only being there one day per week, but it’s a start.
VSLG provides short-term crisis intervention services to people affected by crime or tragedy. A full list of its services are available here.
Jodoin says the organization is hopeful that once the Ministry of the Attorney General is done its evaluations of all programs, VSLG will have its funding adjusted to better reflect its volume.
This is the first community based office space for VSLG.
