The Kemptville Farmers’ Market opens for the season this weekend. The market runs every Sunday from 12 noon to 4:00pm, in the B&H Grocer parking lot. This marks the 13th season for the market, which brings together local producers and vendors.

Marketing & Advertising Coordinator Nancy Olive says the market has a lot to offer. She says there’s fresh produce, much of it organic. People can also pick up jams, baked goods, crafts, plants, honey products and maple products.

The market will welcome 35 full-season vendors this year, along with another dozen or so casual vendors.

Olive says there will be special activities to mark opening day, including face painting, balloons and games for kids. She says picture frames will be set up for people to take selfies.

Live music will be provided by Keith Glass, Fiddlehead Stew and Bruce Enloe.
