The Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) Foundation marks its 40th anniversary this year. The organization was formed in 1979 and has granted $12 million to the hospital.
The dollars go towards new medical, surgical and diagnostic equipment and capital projects, such as the Emergency Department and surgical suite expansion.
Foundation Vice Chair Margret Norenberg says Kemptville may not be very large, but the spirit of generosity in the community is exceptional.
The Foundation is holding a 40th anniversary raffle with a $10,000 cash prize to mark this milestone. Tickets will go on sale in early April.
The Foundation is currently raising dollars for a new ultrasound and replacement of all the IV pumps hospital wide, totalling $375,000.
