Local soccer club partners with Ottawa Fury

The Kemptville District Soccer Club (KDSC) has a new partner. The Ottawa Fury announced its new Club Affiliation Program on Friday. Soccer For Everyone provides growth opportunities through play, talent identification, teaching resources and access to professional facilities.

Head Coach Alan Archer says there’s a million things the partnership does for the club. He says the strongest part is fostering a passion for the game.

All the club’s youth players will get a season pass to Ottawa Fury games at no cost. Ottawa Fury players will also be coming out to Kemptville for a Community Practice.

Archer says it’s an excellent program that may lead to growth. Archers says the national drop-off rate for players involved in a sport at the age of eight is 70 per cent by the time they’re 15. He says the club’s goal is to keep youth in soccer.

There are currently 1,200 players enrolled in the KDSC. For more details about the club, click here.
