The cafeteria at Kemptville College is no longer empty. Catered Affairs has moved its operation into the building. The local caterer took over the space on December 15 and held a special open house with members of North Grenville Council today.
Owner Natalie Castellas says there are lots of irons in the fire for future growth. She says the plan is to hold a lottery for community groups once a month to allow them use of the space.
Catered Affairs currently runs the hot lunch program for both the French Public and French Catholic schools on campus. The plan is to rent the cafeteria out as a venue for events and meetings.
Castellas says the move to the college will help grow her business. She says it will add jobs in the community.
Castellas says turning the building back into a fully operational cafeteria for the campus is possible down the road.
